Pastor David Knowles
David Allen Knowles is the Chief Financial Officer/Assistant Treasurer and Associate Pastor at Bahamas Faith Ministries International where he also serves as a member of their Board of Governors. His professional career has allowed him to acquire skills in many areas such as leadership and character development, contract negotiation, business development, research, mentoring, coaching and ministry.
In addition to Pastor David Knowles’ full-time duties as the BFMI CFO/Assistant Treasurer, he is actively involved in serving the needs of BFM’s members and their families in the areas of pastoral and financial counseling. He assists with family tragedies, bereavement and Home goings. Many of these involve members and families residing outside the Bahamas.
He is actively involved in the leadership of our Real Men’s Ministry, whereby he assists in mentoring young men at all grade levels including prison, Boys Industrial School, hospitals and convalescent homes. His calm and caring heart allows him to minister to the needs of members and followers around the world. His heart of compassion enables him to minister to those who fall on hard times, whether work-related, sickness or death.
Pastor David Knowles and his wife, Loneice, have served as District Pastors of our fellowship Carenet group in the western district of Nassau for many years. Their community leadership is a great asset to the overall vision of Bahamas Faith Ministries Fellowship. Additionally, they serve as Directors of the Marriage Ministry.
After working over 45 years in the finance industry and pastoral ministry, Pastor David Knowles has honed skills and expertise that have fueled his confidence in having the ability to advise and aid others through his business and character development practices. He is an entrepreneur, a commercial fisherman, and other business ventures include the automobile and construction industry. His previous work experience includes a bank controller, and he was employed by Ernst & Young, Coopers & Lybrand. Pastor David Knowles was educated at Florida Southern College, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting and satisfied the Certified Public Accounting Examination.
