Pastor Jeddrick “Jay” Mullings

Pastor Jeddrick “Jay” Mullings, better described as “God’s Gentle Giant,” is a man called of God with a passion and sensitivity for people’s needs. Born in Matthew Town, Inagua, Bahamas, Jay began early to search for God’s will for his life, but this search ended in frustration and disillusionment with the established traditional church. Jay then joined the Royal Bahamas Police Force, and after graduating with honours, went on to London, England, where he completed a course in Advanced Detective Training with New Scotland Yard.

Returning home, Jay worked his way up to the position of Sergeant in the Commercial Crime Section of the Criminal Investigation Department. While with the force, Jay’s hunger and desire for God continued to grow until in 1979, he responded to the Holy Spirit and received Jesus as his Lord. He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit soon afterwards and began to grow in the Word.

One year later, after attending a Bahamas Faith Ministries’ prayer fellowship, he felt God’s call to become a part of this ministry and after much prayer received confirmation. Seven years later, on the 21st of December 1986, Jay was ordained to the ministry of Bahamas Faith Ministries Center.

Jay started the Tape Ministry of Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) and later became the Director of the Tape Ministry, Transportation Ministry, Security Ministry and Facilities and Maintenance Ministry. Jay was a full-time employee at the ministry and ministered tirelessly to meet the needs of the people.

In 1982, Jay became the first director to travel with Dr. Myles Munroe as his Road Manager.

In late 1994, Jay was made the Director of Bahamas Faith Ministries’ Home Missions Outreach. A teacher of the Word in his own right, Jay was a tremendous blessing to the body of Christ.

In 2001, Jay became the Managing Director of BFMI’s office in Miami, Florida where he was responsible for ensuring the office was fully stocked with Dr. Munroe’s products and that they were promptly shipped for Dr. Munroe’s international speaking engagements.

On September 26, 2003, Jay joined the Board of Governors of BFMI and in 2004, he became the Managing Director of International Conferences until his retirement in 2012.

Jay is married to Pastor Euturpia Mullings who was also deeply involved in the ministry. They are the parents of seven children, Deborah, Michelle, Melinda Joy, Kathleen, Francino, Wilfred and Princess.
